The Port of Penang is a deepwater, all-weather port located along the Penang Strait in Malaysia, handling both containerized and bulk cargo. It handled 1.52 million TEUs of cargo as of 2017 and is capable of accommodating vessels up to 100,000 DWT. The port features high-capacity cranes, hoppers, and an integrated high-speed conveyor system for efficient cargo handling. With deep drafts and all-weather berthing, the port operates year-round and is the third busiest port in Malaysia by cargo throughput, as well as the busiest port-of-call for cruise ships.
